CANADA DAY COMMITTEE wishes to thank
Well this was a Canada Day we won't soon forget. I've heard that it hasn't rained in 28 years. Well hopefully we're in the clear for a while again. As in most committees, there are always numerous individuals that come out and help with all those little things that need to be done. Our 2 day event involves the whole community. We all want to thank these great friends and Sandycover's for their tireless efforts. You make our great community all that it is today.
Thanks go out to all those who celebrated their first Canada Day with us. Long timers, and new friends, you are the future of Sandycove, and we need your participation and support to make all events like Canada Day a great success. Regardless of 20 minutes of torrential downpour, all events were up in numbers, and a great time was had by all.
Thanks go out to the 4 Social Committees for their support, to Dave Cooper and Sylvia Tollar for their web site and newsletter coverage, to Gary McDonald for a great DJ job at the dance, to John Battle for introducing us to the Rainbow Loom...! Once again all those who helped in the kitchens, putting out and away chairs, with the games, the Tai Chi and Baseball groups as well as Marlene and her whole Spoke gang. And of course, to Sandycove and Parkbridge for their continued support over the years.
Your Canada Day Committee for 2014 - Pat & Stan Maguire, Diane Tressoff, Liz Jones, Adele Boulding, Donna Hall, Larry Laidlaw, Rick Madeley, Marlene Smale, Joan Findley and Tom Leslie.
Thank you all once again and we'll see you next year.....!!!
