RENT INCREASE GUIDELINE FOR 2020 - The
Ontario government has recently announced (June
2019) the rent increase guideline for the year
2020 will be 2.2 per cent. The rent increase
guideline is the maximum amount by which a
landlord can increase the rent of a tenant
without seeking the approval of the Landlord and
Tenant Board. The 2020 Guideline applies to a
rent increase that occurs between January 1 and
December 31, 2020.
