Sandycove Community Fundraisers – 2018

GRAND FASHION FOR CHARITY was held Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th at the Wheel. The volunteers are to be congratulated for putting on a great fashion show, silent auction and providing refreshments while you shopped for ladies, men’s and children’s slightly used clothes, jewellery, purses, shoes and much more. This annual event returned after a couple of years off and is now led by Christine Hempey and her hardworking team. A cheque for $7,000 was presented to Hospice Simcoe at a recent gathering of the volunteers.. In addition clothing and other remaining contributions were provided to The Kidney Foundation, Chic-a-Boom, Bible Missions, Christmas Wish and The Life Community Centre. Sandycove Community Fundraisers – 2012

SANDYCOVE residents have once again exceeded all expectations through the annual community fundraising effort the Repeat Boutique. Over $10,700 was collected through this two day event that featured a gently used clothing sale, fashion and variety show, silent auction, BBQ and a successful draw for a magnificent Doll House built be a Sandycove resident. This now brings the eight year total to $55,500 all of which has gone to the RVH Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre. FANTASTIC JOB…….

Sandycove Community Fundraisers – 2011

The most successful fundraising event The most successful fundraising event held to date was the Annual Fashion Show and Sale held June 9 – 11th this year. The Sandycove Community Fundraisers Group is comprised of about 150 people making up the numerous “Teams” that put together displays over a period of a couple of months and then on one final weekend in June have a giant sale and fashion show. All proceeds go towards the Royal Victoria Hospital Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre. This year a cheques was presented to the amount of $8,600.00. Over the last couple of years the group has now raised $44,800 towards this cause. Representatives from the Hospital Auxiliary were presented with a cheque and they once again thanked the Sandycove Team for their outstanding efforts.

SPECIAL – SANDYCOVE residents annually hold many charitable events and the largest and most successful of these is held every June at the WHEEL by the Sandycove Community Fundraisers Group. About 150 people comprise the numerous “Teams” that put together displays over a period of a couple of months and then on one final weekend in June have a monstrous sale. All proceeds go towards the Royal Victoria Hospital Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre. This year a cheques was presented to the amount of $6,525.00. Over the last couple of years the group has now raised $36,200 towards this cause.
